What This Policy Covers
Qnèctra LLC operates qnectra.com as a solo AI transformation and operational architecture consulting practice. This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses, and what you can do about them.
Qnèctra does not run advertising, does not sell visitor data, and does not use third-party tracking beyond what is needed to understand how the site is being used. The cookies on this site fall into two categories: essential (required for the site to function) and analytics (used to measure traffic and usage patterns).
For how Qnèctra handles your personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — your preferences, session state, or whether you have already seen a consent notice.
First-party cookies are set directly by qnectra.com. Third-party cookies are set by external services integrated into the site, such as Google Analytics. Third-party services may recognize your device across different websites through these cookies.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are required for the site to function. They handle security and remember consent preferences. These cannot be opted out of — blocking them through your browser may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and legal obligation. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies under the ePrivacy Directive.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Retention | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
qnectra-consent | Stores your cookie consent choice so the consent banner is not shown on every visit. | 6 months | HTTP — First-party |
In addition, when you submit a form protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (such as the contact form), Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie to confirm you are a human rather than an automated bot. These are security cookies, set only during verification, and they clear shortly afterward.
Analytics Cookies
Qnèctra uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, where traffic originates, and what on-site actions indicate genuine interest. This data is aggregated. It is not used to identify individual visitors and is not shared with advertising networks.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You may opt out at any time — see "How to Control Cookies" below.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Retention | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Core Google Analytics cookie. Assigns a random identifier to distinguish unique visitors. Contains no personally identifiable information. | 2 years | HTTP — Third-party (Google) |
_ga_490S6YERBH | GA4 property-specific session cookie for the Qnèctra Analytics property (Measurement ID: G-490S6YERBH). Maintains session state across pages. | 2 years | HTTP — Third-party (Google) |
_gid | Used in some GA4 configurations to distinguish users across sessions. | 24 hours | HTTP — Third-party (Google) |
Google's data collection through these cookies is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service currently setting cookies on qnectra.com is Google Analytics. Qnèctra does not use advertising networks, social media pixel trackers, retargeting tools, or any third-party personalization services.

How to Control Cookies
Browser Settings
All major browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari (macOS): Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Block All Cookies
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Blocking all cookies may affect how the site functions, particularly form submissions.
Privacy Signals
Global Privacy Control (GPC): A standardized browser signal that communicates your preference to opt out of data sharing. When Qnèctra detects a GPC signal, non-essential cookies — including analytics — are disabled. Essential cookies required for site functionality remain active. GPC is supported natively by Brave Browser and DuckDuckGo, and via extensions in Firefox and Chrome (Privacy Badger, for example).
Do Not Track (DNT): An older browser signal. Where detected, we treat it the same as GPC and limit data collection to essential functions only.
Google Analytics Opt-Out
To opt out of Google Analytics measurement specifically — across all websites that use it, not just this one — install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Updates to This Policy
This policy is updated when the cookies Qnèctra uses change — for example, if a new third-party service is added or removed. When updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes. Material changes will be flagged with a notice on the site. Continued use of qnectra.com after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
